Doug: no bluetooth yet, but I think R&D might be able to swing greentooth. (That's a thing, right? Wireless does come in different colors, I'd hope?)

I was just wondering if they showed up on their own with the reshare but I guess since it was an embed instead of an Actual Reshare, they wouldn't necessarily.

My sister has been sick for the past 2 weeks or so.. super slow recovery but she does seem to be out of the woods, at least, thank goodness.

I hope your son & relative recovers all right.. this whole thing is super scary & i already suffer from anxiety, so much fun! (/sarcasm in case that wasn't clear)

Me: Mastodon, Hubzilla (where I'm posting now), Discord, Slack (meh), Twitter, MediaWiki (can be bashed into shape to be a private threaded forum if that's all we've got), Reddit (does that do private? probably not), MeWe (meh)... probably others I'm not thinking of.
(I've crossed out places where I am but which really aren't good venues for private groups)

I can be wherever.

I am not very good at maintaining a life on more than one social network. But I prefer more intimate conversation. So if cheeseheads are somewhere other than diaspora, I will probably end up hanging out there and not be here very often

The dual-tilde method doesn't work on this end; if I ~~use it anyway~~, does it work on the Diaspora side? (Does Disapora even support strikethru?)

I had a Diaspora account which I opened in 2011 on joindiaspora.com, where I maybe could have done tests, but it seems to have been removed.

This looks like a Hubzilla bug, then -- markup is not being properly translated. ~~test~~ just shows up here as "test" surrounded by tildepairs. Mayhap the latest version will fix this issue. Mayhap one day soonish I will have time to attempt an upgrade.
